On June 11, 2018, CANOE shared a friendly time initiated by the Regional Council of New-Aquitaine, with the nautical and naval sector on board of the Hermione frigate.

On this occasion, Alain ROUSSET announced the upcoming launch of the New-Aquitaine Nautical Naval Cluster with the ambition to represent and to promote the nautical and naval activities in the New-Aquitaine region and to recognize this cluster internationally as a major pole of this sector of activity.

The nautical and naval industry is actually one of the priority sectors identified by the New-Aquitaine Region, with high potential in terms of economic development, job creation and international development.

Whilst being fully aware of the economic challenges and the added value creation, it is naturally that CANOE wished to become involved in the implementation of this future cluster; through their technological offer and expertise, CANOE is positioned on the group # 3 – RDI (Research Development Innovation ) in order to bring out some innovative ideas and to generate new collaborative projects, for the benefit of the economic actors of the sector.
